      Link to Tutorial this tutorial is incomplete over the couple of days i will be adding stuff to it. the forum editor annoyed me, so i am writing it in google docs until forum is stable.

    How to define which skills are affected by 3D and 3E effects.

    You need a hex editor, the z soul tool and the neccessary files for the z soul tool( talisman_item.idb, etc…)

    Create/Make a Z soul have 3D (Special Skill Upgrade) or 3E (Ultimate Skill Upgrade) effects

    Search for your z soul’s id. (talisman_item.idb)

    Your soul will have this code (look a few lines below):

    3E 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 FF FF FF FF 00 00 80 BF  This line is the effect and conditions needed to activate code.
    00 00 80 BF 00 00 80 BF 00 00 80 BF 00 00 80 BF  From this line and until the 16 “F” are the abilities. Each “00 00 80 BF” is a skill.

    Hello I’m new here, I’m trying to use your z soul editor but it just wont work. I unpacked data and data 2, when I go to system I can find the talisman_item.idb no problem but what do you load in msg? There’s a lot of files in there I tried loading proper_noun_talisman_name_en.msg as it’s the only thing that remotely looks the same. But It wants me to load yet another thing afterwards.

    Update:  I figured out how to load them on the tool finally, now what I don’t understand is how to save the changes. I went to save but nothing seems to happen, also how do you load it into the game?

    Try editing one already existing in the game, for now.

    Also make sure you repack the files you changed (no I don’t think you are an idiot) and finally I believe that you can make them sellable from the item shop if you add a price to them. If not then the DBXV gods will answer your call eventually.

    you have to export an existing z soul to zss and import it back using the import/add.  i had coding issues when i tried to create code that copied a z-soul onto a new one.

    i will consider adding that in later.  i will add them as effect val 1-6 and effect multiplier 1-6.

    also i know how to find all the skill values. its very simple.  if you have no programming, i rather no explain.

    kamehameha is 00 00 00 00 or Id # of 0
