Kame House playable stage

This little project has been in development for several months, and now I'm FINALLY ready to announce its completion!

This is a remake of the Kame House lobby area, converted into a playable stage with an overhaul of updates for scenery, hitboxes, and visual effects.

It features the Kame House building exterior, hitboxes for the surroundings rocks, beach chair, and the smaller rooftops on the house... It has a doorway and 3 windows for access inside of the house (the east wall is completely solid so that you can knock people in its direction and not send them flying out of the house)... and to top it all off, an ocean floor which acts more or less like a sunken Archipelago stage underneath the ocean surface.

Hope you guys enjoy this rather late Christmas gift, and long live the Xenoverse franchise!

SPECIAL THANKS to:

  • Majestic for fixing the messy light refraction that was originally on the exterior walls.
  • Olganix for his AMAZING map editing tools.
  • Lazybone for his mod installer tool that helped me merge 2 EEPK files with no hassle.
  • Mastaklo for assisting me with some custom collision mishaps in the stage's early development.
  • diego4fun for providing the official Tenkaichi 3 model of the Kame House to work with.

Specific changes to the map from the original Kame House (LBY05) stage:

  • Added invisible walls, ceiling, and floor
  • Added water behavior to the ocean mesh (swimming animations, splash sounds, and ripple effect in the water)
  • Resized the hitbox for the house walls and roof.
  • Added a Kame House model to the map, and made it fit the proper dimensions of the original walls and roof hitboxes.
  • Cut holes into the Kame House model to match the holes for the doorway and the three windows.
  • Added a back window to the Kame House, which came with the Tenkaichi 3 model.
  • Rendered the interior of the Kame House for when the camera lets you see inside of it.
  • Retextured the house walls and roof and gave the top side window a slight transparency used on glass.
  • Rendered the other sides of the window shutters, the east wall window frame, the door, and the door frame.
  • Added a hitbox for the interior ceiling.
  • Added a hitbox for the patio roof.
  • Added a hitbox for the small rooftop on the side of the house.
  • Added a hitbox for all the surrounding rocks in the area and the beach chair in front.
  • Increased the size of the island, and increased the size of the island hitbox.
  • Moved the palm trees further away from the house so that the leaves don't clip inside of it.
  • Moved the largest rock on the island further out so it covers a spot that officially has no texture blend on the ground.
  • Added a hitbox for the underwater section of the island (this will be updated in the future with a better one).
  • Added the Archipelago map underneath the Kame House, which provides an ocean floor.
  • Added visual effects for splashes, bubbles underwater, and the shimmering blue portal in the back wall of the house.
  • Applied collision effects that kick up dust when the player collides with the island ground, rocks, or ocean floor.

Installs as an X2M in the latest XV2 Installer.

It actually looks great! And the fact that it’s so detailed makes it even better. I lived in a pretty similar house in Korea a few months ago (it wasn’t in the middle of the sea, obviously), but I’m sure that the designers were inspired by Kame House, and it was amazing. Well, it wasn’t fully authentic since there was a security system from ajax or something, and in general, it was way too modern, but I definitely felt the vibes from Kame House at first.
