Cription Mods: Custom Intros

Status: I am currently in the process of bringing over the custom intros I made on the original forum more than one year ago. Please note that not all of the intros are being brought over due to some getting take down notices on Mega and Dropbox; therefore, I no longer have access to those files.

I will not be making any new intros or remaking old ones that I lost. I simply wanted to bring this over for those who may want what is already here. However, I have made a tutorial on how to make your own which you can find here.

What does the mod do?:
The mod replaces Xenoverse’s intro with new ones that have been chosen either by me or suggested by the community of the original forum.

How the mod works:
The mod simply replaces the movie_us.cpk / movie_eu.cpk file with a new one that I made. Within the data2 folder it replaces the BIRD_BGM.awb. The reason you need to replace BIRD_BGM.awb is because the movie_us.cpk file’s original video didn’t have any audio. What the game does is it plays the video with no sound and then plays a short version of the intro song in BIRD_BGM.awb.

What I’ve done is replaced the short version of the intro song with a track of the same length, but muted. As encoding sounds to .HCA seems to completely destroy the bitrate. So now instead of the music being played from BIRD_BGM.awb it’s now coming directly from the video. If you don’t repack data2 with the BIRD_BGM.awb that comes from these mods, the game will play both the audio from the video and the games original intro music at the same time.
